Healthcare

The healthcare system made rapid shifts to respond to both typical needs as well as COVID-19 care. It is important to keep up standard care (e.g. immunizations) as well as follow up on any new concerns, don't let something minor become something major.

COVID-19 care:

Typical care:

  • Emergencies: dial 9-1-1, go to the hospital emergency department
  • CHEO Emergency Department Virtual Care
  • Call your typical family physician or pediatrician, many situations may now be managed via a virtual or telemedicine visit
  • Find your Community Health and Resource Centre, you may want to call first to learn how services may be adapted right now
  • Ottawa Public Health Support Line for Families of Babies: 613-580-2424 X23774, support for families with babies up to 3 months of age, every day, 9 am to 3 pm, speak directly with a public health nurse
