Located on the second level of 755 Somerset Street West, this vibrant youth centre is open Monday to Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. serving up homestyle dinners, programs, support, resources and activities to Ottawa youth between the ages of 12-18.
In an attempt to reduce barriers to accessing the COVID-19 vaccine, Somerset West Community Health Centre in partnership with OPH provided regular COVID-19 vaccine clinics onsite as well as hosted numerous pop up or mobile vaccine clinics in the community.
Each month, OCYI task group, Ottawa Collaborative for Parenting Support (OCPS), partners with Ottawa Public Health’s Parenting in Ottawa’s page for the Just ask Facebook series. Each lively event features a different topic, relevant to those caring for kids and youth in Ottawa. Expert guests, often from OCYI partner organizations, are there for the day to answer questions and provide current information.
If you are finding that local and world news is wearing very heavily on your heart right now, please know that you are not alone. It can be especially challenging to explain these events to children and youth, when we as parents, educators and caregivers do not always have the answers.
