The Ottawa Child and Youth Initiative’s Growing Up Great Awards celebrate people, programs and organizations in our community that work to make a difference in the lives of children, youth and their families.
The awards celebrate those who have demonstrated their commitment to making sure children and youth in Ottawa achieve their full potential.
This award recognizes an individual or organization that makes the places children and youth live, play and learn safe and positive.
Jacob McIsaac, Lowertown Community Resource Centre
This award recognizes an individual or organization that gives children and youth the opportunities to build skills and abilities by creating positive learning experiences.
The Ottawa-Carleton Headstart Association for Preschools (OCHAP)
This award recognizes an individual or a program that strives to ensure that children and youth have positive, stable, nurturing friends and relationships.
The Multicultural Liaison Officer Program (MLO)
This award recognizes an individual or organization working to ensure that every child’s basic needs are met.
The Catholic School Parents’ Association (CSPA)
This award recognizes an individual in the Ottawa community that has had a deep impact to ensure children and youth have a chance to grow up great.
Dianne Urquhart, Executive Director of the Social Planning Council of Ottawa
This award recognizes an organisation in the Ottawa community that has had a deep impact to ensure children and youth have a chance to grow up great.
The Association Richelieu Fondateur
This award recognizes a local company or business whose community involvement has made a significant contribution to the well-being of children and youth in Ottawa.
The Trinity Development Foundation
This award acknowledges an outstanding individual in the Ottawa community who mentored and enriched the lives of economically disadvantaged children and their families through arts and recreation.
